SASI

Summer Apiarist Study Initiative (SASI)

An important part of the Bee Friendly mission is educating new beekeepers and working to make a global impact with bees and bee research. To that end we offer study exchange opportunities to new beekeepers from around the world. We host international students here at Bee Friendly Foundation for a full immersion experience in the world of beekeeping.   Our typical program is  6-8 weeks, but we are also able to accommodate shorter or longer stays depending on the season.

The study program includes meals and simple accommodations. Students will have both in the classroom and hands-on learning each day and are expected to participate in all activities.

Our summer season program is full and we are currently accepting applicants for our fall season.  If you believe you are a good candidate for an upcoming program, please send a letter and resume of work/school experience and we will respond with more details.

Congratulations to our newest Summer Candidate: Jed Phillips from British Columbia Canada. He will be studying at Bee Friendly Foundation June-August 2018.
